Melt in Your Mouth Butter Cookies
1/2 cup butter
6 tablespoons confectioner's sugar
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
1 tablespoon cornstarch
3/4 cup flour -- sifted
Cream butter and sugar; stir in sifted dry ingredients. Roll into small balls about 3/4 inch in diameter. Place on baking
sheet and flatten. Bake 15 minutes at 300° F.
Almond Butter Cookies
* 1/2 cup butter, room temperature
* 3/4 cup granulated sugar
* 1/2 cup shortening
* 1 large egg
* 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
* 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
* 1/4 teaspoon salt
* 1/2 teaspoon almond extract
